Los actores Tim Allen, Dakota Fanning y Susan Kelechi Watson fueron los encargados, este lunes en la mañana, de revelar las nominaciones de la edición 77 de los Golden Globe Awards, las estatuillas otorgadas por The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (la Asociación de la Prensa Extranjera de Hollywood), a lo mejor del cine y la televisión tanto en Estados Unidos como a nivel Mundial.

Este año, ‘Marriage Story’, película de Netflix dirigida por Noah Baumbach, lidera las nominaciones con seis candidaturas, incluyendo Mejor Película (Drama), así como Mejor Actor (Adam Driver) y Mejor Actriz (Scarlett Johansson); seguida por ‘The Irishman’ de Martin Scorsese -también del servicio de streaming-, y ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ de Quentin Tarantino, con cinco, cada una.

Por su parte, en el ámbito televisivo ‘Chernobyl’, ‘The Crown’ y ‘Unbelievable’ barrieron las nominaciones con cuatro candidaturas, cada serie; mientras que ‘Barry’, ‘Succession’ y ‘Big Little Lies’ de HBO, ‘Fleabag’ de Amazon, ‘Fosse/Verdon’ de FX, ‘The Kominsky Method’ de Netflix y ‘The Morning Show’ de Apple TV obtuvieron tres.

Y aunque hubo sorpresas (la nominación de Cate Blanchett por ‘Where’d You Go Bernadette’) y extrañezas (‘The Lion King’ en la categoría Mejor Película Animada), también hubo decepciones como la notoria ausencia de Robert De Niro y Adam Sandler por sus actuaciones en ‘The Irishman’ y ‘Uncut Gems’, respectivamente; Peter Dinklage por ‘Game of Thrones’; y la de Noah Baumbach en Mejor Director por ‘A Marriage Story’, tal como la total ausencia de mujeres en esta categoría.

La entrega número 77 de los Golden Globe Awards, que se realizará en el Hotel Beverly Hilton, de Los Ángeles, California, y que será presentada por Ricky Gervais, honrará a Tom Hanks con el Cecil B. DeMille Award y a Ellen DeGeneres con el Carol Burnett Award por sus contribuciones al cine y a la televisión, respectivamente.
