‘The Shape of Water’, ‘The Disaster Artist’, ‘Get Out’ y ‘Coco’ son algunas de las cintas nominadas en la edición 75 de los Golden Globes que se realizarán el 7 de enero.

Este lunes en la mañana, los actores Alfre Woodard, Garrett Hedlund, Kristen Bell y Sharon Stone fueron los encargados de revelar las nominaciones de la edición 75 de los Golden Globes, estatuillas otorgadas anualmente por The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (la Asociación de la Prensa Extranjera de Hollywood), a lo mejor del cine y la televisión tanto en Estados Unidos como a nivel Mundial.

En esta ocasión, ‘The Shape of Water’, película dirigida por Guillermo del Toro, lidera las nominaciones con siete candidaturas, incluyendo Mejor Película Drama, Mejor Director y Mejor Guión; seguida por ‘The Post’ y ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’, con seis, cada una.

Como siempre, las nominaciones incluyeron algunas sorpresas; entre ellas las tres nominaciones para ‘All the Money in the World’ -cinta que se fue a reshoots hace algunas semanas para remplazar a Kevin Spacey-, incluyendo una para Christopher Plummer, quien reemplazó a Spacey; así como la ausencia de nombres como Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird), Jordan Peele (Get Out) y Patty Jenkins (Wonder Woman) en la categoría de Mejor Director.

En cuanto a gratas sorpresas cabe destacar que Ansel Elgort logró la única nominación para ‘Baby Driver’ en la categoría Mejor Actor en una Película Comedia o Musical.

De igual manera, la televisión no se queda atrás. Mientras Jason Bateman y Katherine Langford recibieron nominaciones por sus respectivos papeles en ‘Ozark’ y ’13 Reasons Why’, ‘Twin Peaks: The Return’ no recibió el reconocimiento en la categoría ‘Mejor Miniserie o Película para Televisión’. Otras notoria ausencia: el elenco de ‘Game of Thrones’, aunque la serie recibió una nominación.

La entrega número 75 de los Golden Globes se realizará el próximo 7 de enero en el Hotel Beverly Hilton, de Los Ángeles, California, y será presentada por Seth Meyers. A continuación, la lista completa de los nominados:
